Memories of Paris
September 2006
[Disclaimer: The memories are mine, but not all the photos are mine. Luckily, other people pause in awe at the same places ... with better cameras. Notably, QT Luong, the best travel photographer I know. ]
Then you book a luxrious hotel with a view...

Of course, I didn't do this
-- it was too expensive --
but I recommend it!

First, you find the red suede boots ...

Even without a great hotel, Paris  is enough -- by Night...

Paris is charming in so many ways, you stumble over magical moments no matter what you do. Here are some things I did this time. For  a really memorable trip to Paris, I highly recommend them all!
You could spend your time in the museums. But, if you're in luck, as I was, they'll have put up big white tents along the Seine, filled with antiquarian exhibits. This is rare & inspiring art. And how often do you meet merchants with such a deep knowledge and passion for their wares?
After an hour or two in the tents, falling in love with Louis XIV desks, oogling strange tribal sculptures & chatting with the merchants  ...  you're off!
